What is the Craft group?
Craft brings together ten open-source apps that open in your browser: PhotoCraft (layered images and PSD), LightCraft (photo development), VectorCraft (vectors), PdfCraft (PDF), GridCraft (XLSX spreadsheets), DeckCraft (PPTX presentations), DesignCraft (page layout), FilmCraft (video), EffectCraft (motion and effects) and CADCraft (technical drawing and DXF). Open Craft from the Tools menu and pick an app. PdfCraft also shows as a tab in PDF Studio, PhotoCraft, LightCraft and VectorCraft in Image Studio and GridCraft in Excel Studio. They are apps by the ArtCraft team, not affiliated with Shift Hours, and are still early versions.
Are my files uploaded in Craft apps? How do I keep my work?
No. Craft apps run on your device: open files with the app’s own picker or by dragging them in, and use Save or Export to download the result. The site does not keep your work by itself, so save before closing the tab or switching apps. The first time, the app is downloaded (about 7 to 63 MB depending on the app); it opens faster after that. They are made for a computer with a mouse and keyboard: on a phone they may be slow or hard to use.
Do Craft apps have a limit on the Free plan?
Yes. On the Free plan, Craft apps share 15 minutes a day, counted only while an app is open and on screen; the time left shows at the top of the app. When it runs out, the apps open again the next day, or right away with Premium, which has no limit. Limits can change and always show in the Upgrade window.
Are Craft apps available in my language?
Each app has its own interface. Some follow the browser language or let you pick a language in the app’s Preferences; others are still English only. The Shift Hours text around the app (tabs, limits and notices) follows the site language.
