Frequently asked questions
How do I make a QR code?
Open QR Code from the tools menu and choose the type: link, text, contact, Wi-Fi, email or phone. Fill in the fields and the code appears alongside. Under Appearance choose the colours, margin and error correction; then download it as PNG (512, 1024 or 2048 px) or SVG, which stays sharp at any size. Always test scanning with a phone before printing.
Does the QR code expire? Can I change the link later?
It does not expire: codes are static, the content is stored in the pattern itself and works without this site. That is why the destination of a printed code cannot be changed; for other content, make and print a new code. The site does not count scans or keep what you type: the code is made on this device.
How do I make a QR code for Wi-Fi?
In QR Code choose Wi-Fi, type the network name exactly as phones show it, the password and the security type (if unsure, WPA). Tick Hidden network if it does not show up in the list. When scanning, iPhone and Android offer to join the network. Note: anyone who scans the code sees the password, so put it only where everyone may use the network.
